When it comes to catering for friends and family, their is nothing else I would recommend than a good creamy beef lasange. It is easy to prepare, easy to serve (ish) and is a cost effective method of being able to feed a large family or group of friends.
To being, start off with 500g of beef mince. Fry into the frying pan until golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper and a small amount of mixed herbs. Boil potatoes and cut into small chunks. Once soft, pick up a masher and mash potatoes until smooth and creamy. Add in butter, a small amount of cream and stir in until a soft and creamy texture. Place mince in an oven proof dish and place potatoes on top in a layer style format. Bake in the oven for around 30-45 minutes or until the potato on top is starting to go golden brown.
